Uber alles!

The Air Force has a new slogan, “Above All.” Unfortunately, I don’t think they realized it was already taken…by Nazi Germany. That’s right, “Above All” translates into German as “Uber Alles.”

Erik is right, but in context -partially- wrongo.

The allies used the ‘wrong’ translation in propaganda against Nazi Germany: See this:

The fact that some marketing boob at the USAF now uses the unfettered phrase Over/Above All shows either astounding hubris or stupidity.

This is ‘One Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.’ NOT the verdammt Luftwaffe, *cough* I mean Air Force.

Pick your God. The USAF *does not count*.
