TSA’s blog
If haven’t been to TSA’s new blog, I suggest you check it out. EVOLUTION OF SECURITY essentially consists of TSA personnel huddling in their Alamo while under siege by a mob of haters. It’s gotten so hostile that TSA now moderates comments, which, of course, has only played into dissenters hands. “Stasi-lite” and “though police” are now used interchangeably with TSA.
Those comparisons prey on the blog’s specious hyping of the terror threat. Take, for instance, the Orwellian tag-line: “Terrorists Evolve. Threats Evolve. Security Must Stay Ahead. You Play A Part.” The content pretty much fall into line behind that motto. Post titles such as The Truth Behind the Title: Behavior Detection Officer and Alien Flight School Program: “9/11 Redux?” being perfect examples of the serial exaggeration that goes on over there.
