Photos show pro-Chinese demonstrator ‘attacking’ wheelchair bound torch carrier

A photo captured during the Olympic torch relay in Paris shows a ‘Tibetan protester’ attempting to steal the torch from a wheelchair bound carrier:

The Chinese media seized upon this evident display of unbound zeal, using it to describe the protests that have accompanied the torch around the world. Their converge sparked outrage across the country.

There’s just one thing missing here, it seems that this protester was pro-Chinese, not pro-Tibetan. A photo taken earlier in the day clearly shows him marching under the PRC flag, with a flock of other Chinese supporters:

Some bloggers are alleging a conspiracy. There’s no proof of an official hand in this. The evidence is also open to interpretation. For example, other people in the above photo are wearing Tibetan colors. Said bloggers point to other instances that suggest the entire group was comprised of Chinese agents.

There were allegations that agents of the Chinese government fought pro-Tibetan protesters in London and proof Chinese soldiers dressed up as monks in Tibet. In other words, I wouldn’t put it passed the uber-sensitive and politically primitive government in Beijing to dream up a false flag attack on a wheelchair bound torch carrier to drum up support for their side.

I am not sure i believe the attack was fake. The guy could just as easier have walked with the pro-chinese group to blend in and get close…but i am not going to argue that China would not do this in a heartbeat, i just have not been convinced that this wasn’t simply pro-tibet getting overzealous.
